MINI has decided to stop offering the Clubvan in United States because of an extremely weak demand.

The MINI Clubvan production version was introduced in June last year and is basically a Clubman small wagon with the rear seats removed and the rear side windows blanked out. Built in Oxford, it retains the Clubman's vertically split wide-opening rear doors and the third side door known as a Clubdoor.

Introduced on the U.S. market earlier this year, the MINI Clubvan is no longer available according to Nathalie Bauters who is the MINI Communications Manager at MINI USA. She said this decision was taken due to "relatively low demand and the effect of an excessive 25-percent tax on vehicles for commercial use." She added only "around 50" units were sold in the United States.
