The 2014 Corvette Stingray has arrived in Europe for a final round of testing before it goes on sale later this year.

The test program will be overseen by Chevrolet Europe technical manager Patrick Herrmann who will document his experience on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram. According to Herrmann, “Corvette is one of the famed names in automotive history and the new Stingray is the most advanced and capable standard model yet. Driving and testing this car is definitely one of the most interesting aspects of my job."

Like the US-spec models, the European Corvettes will be powered by a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine that develops up to 460 bhp (343 kW) and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in as little as 3.8 seconds when equipped with the Z51 Performance Package.
