It appears as if the Chevrolet Sonic RS will be making a trip to Europe where it will get the Aveo RS nameplate.

Trusty Russian website autowp.ru uploaded a photo allegedly depicting the Euro-spec Chevrolet Aveo RS which looks virtually the same as the U.S.-spec Sonic RS. Seen in this photo is the five-door hatchback which represents the only body style offered in United States for the Sonic RS.

Sporting the same aggressive body kit, the Aveo RS is likely to come with a 1.4-liter Ecotec turbocharged engine delivering 138 bhp (103 kW) and 200 Nm (148 lb-ft) of torque linked to a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.

It has the same five-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels, while on the inside it should have aluminum sport pedals, front bucket seats wrapped in leather, together with different instrument panel cluster graphics.

The American model is available with one of the following paint schemes: Victory Red, Summit White, Cyber Gray Metallic and Black Granite Metallic, while the European version will be offered at least with this striking orange livery. The interior should also have red stitching on the leather-covered steering wheel and shift knob.

An official reveal will probably occur in a short while.
