The 458 Italia has been on the market for a couple of years, so Ferrari is reportedly preparing to introduce the 458 Scuderia at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Designed to set new benchmarks in the supercar segment, the 458 Scuderia is expected to feature an aerodynamic body kit with a new front bumper that has larger air intakes. Previous reports have also indicated the model could come equipped with active carbon fiber winglets on the rear diffuser.

The 4.5-liter V8 engine is expected to carryover but will likely feature an optimized ECU and a sportier exhaust system. These tweaks should enable the model to produce over 600 HP (441 kW) - an increase of at least 30 HP (22 kW).

The car is also expected to lose approximately 100 kg (220 lbs) which would bring its dry weight down to roughly 1280 kg (2,822 lbs). This, combined with the engine modifications, should enable the car to be faster than the 458 Italia which runs from 0-100 km/h in less than 3.4 seconds and has a top speed in excess of 325 km/h (202 mph).
