Designed by the Centro Stile Ferrari, the bespoke model was commissioned by Clapton who wanted a modern day version of the 512 Berlinetta Boxer. As a result, the singer received a rebodied 458 Italia that has a 4.5-liter V8 engine with 570 HP (419 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque.

The car reportedly cost £3 ($4.5 / €3.4) million to make but Clapton has previously said the project was "an incredible experience, one of the most satisfying things I've ever done."
