Skoda has released another teaser for the more practical Rapid Spaceback which will be revealed in a few days.

We have seen several spy photos with the Skoda Rapid Spaceback so in terms of design there isn't a lot of room for surprises. It will come with slightly longer rear doors, larger rear quarter windows and a sloping tailgate. The model will slot between the Fabia Combi and the Octavia Combi when it goes on sale later this year.

It will be available with probably the same engines as the regular model , including the recently announced 1.6-liter TDI producing 90 HP (66 kW) which can be ordered together with the Green tec package that adds low-rolling resistance tires, brake energy regeneration and stop/start system. In the 2014 Skoda Rapid hatchback, this engine returns 60.3 mpg US (72.4 mpg UK or 3.9 liters / 100 km) with CO2 emissions of 104 g/km. These figures should remain virtually the same for the Spaceback model.
