Dressed in heavy camouflage, the car has a conservative design with soft curves and gently flowing surfaces. We can also see a single bar grille, sweptback headlights and a dual exhaust system. Other notable touches include a rakish roofline and wraparound taillights.

The cabin will be heavily influenced by the sedan but the coupe receives a traditional steering wheel and a revised dashboard that eschews the wood trim and analogue clock.

Engine options will include the usual suspects so the primary unit will be a 4.7-liter V8 that produces 455 HP (335 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. We can also expect a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6, a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 and a couple of V12s.

The S-Class Coupe is expected to be previewed by a concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show, before being launched sometime next year.
