Saleen has officially unveiled the production version of their 351 Mustang.
Described as the perfect balance of design, technology and power, the model has modified bumpers, revised side skirts and a "Red Butterfly" ram air hood. The car is also equipped with a rear diffuser, a rear spoiler and 20-inch alloy wheels with high-performance tires.
Interior changes are limited but include leather / Alcantara seats, illuminated door sill plates, special floor mats and an individually-numbed dash plaque.
Power is provided by a supercharged 5.7-liter (351 cubic inch) V8 engine that features forged aluminum pistons, high-performance valve springs and new fuel injectors. This enables the mill to produce 700 bhp (521 kW) and 655 ft-lb (887 Nm) of torque. The engine is connected to a six-speed manual transmission that has a high-performance clutch and a lightweight flywheel.
On the handling front, Saleen adds a sport-tuned suspension with new shocks, springs, struts and sway bars.
The 351 Mustang is available as a coupe or convertible and pricing starts at $82,634.
