In 2012 Rhys Millen established the Pikes Peak record with a time of 9:46.164, but now this record is history as Sebastien Loeb in his 208 T16 completed the run in just 8:13.878, thus improving last year's record by more than 15 percent.
Millen improved his 2012 attempt by almost 44 seconds, finishing the course in 9:02.192 with an average speed of 79.667 mph. He had to settle with second place, being slower by 49 seconds than Loeb who had an average speed of 87.471 mph over the 12.72-mile course.
