2014 Peugeot 308 shows its metal once again

The 2014 Peugeot 308 has been photographed once again showing its French Golf silhouette.

Our friends at AutoFans.be stumbled upon this new 308 in France while testing the recently unveiled Citroën C4 Picasso. Set to make its official public debut in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the new Peugeot 308 rides on PSA's EMP2 platform which has allowed the model to lose up to 308 lbs (140 kg) compared to its predecessor.

The interior cabin is mostly carried over from the smaller 208, featuring a similar head-up instrument cluster and steering wheel layout, together with a generous 9.7-inch touchscreen display which has allowed Peugeot to remove most of the conventional buttons.
