Ford has axed the Harley-Davidson edition of the F-Series lineup.
Ford's truck marketing manager Doug Scott told Automotive News "we don’t have plans for one at the moment", adding the lineup already has "10 models including a brand-new Limited Model, which was new for 2013. We feel like we've got the market really well covered."
Introduced back in 1999, the special edition continued through 2012MY but it wasn't a success since Scott said sales of this model accounted for only 1 to 2 percent of all F-150 orders. On the other hand, the Platinum version of the Super Duty model which was launched in 2009 has exceeded Ford's expectations.
