The owner of a 1969 BMW 2002 turned his precious automobile into a street rod with a Mustang V8 engine.

The owner of a 1969 BMW 2002 turned his precious automobile into a street rod.

The car features a fiberglass bodywork and has an olive green paint scheme. It was built on a Cobra tubular chassis and has a Mustang V8 5.0-liter engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Since the engine is installed behind the front axle, this is actually a mid-engined car.

Other modifications include new power brakes, cold air intake, water pump, clutch, fan, wires, plugs, radiator, power steering, coilover front suspension and a new battery relocated to the trunk. Inside there are period-correct Recaro seats and a bespoke dashboard featuring custom gauges (speedometer is broken). The front bumper was replaced by a custom light bar which incorporates two driving lights, while at the back the bumper was removed.

The car was listed on eBay but nobody picked it up.
