Mitsubishi has unveiled a handful of safety vehicles that will be used at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb later this month.

Designed specifically for the race, the vehicles were built with the assistance of AEM, BBS, Cobb Tuning, DC Sports, Kenwood and Muellerized Suspension Tuning. Additional information is limited but the Outlander and Lancer Evolution are dressed to impress thanks to a distinctive red, white and silver exterior design. The models are also equipped with a light bar, LED fog lights and attractive BBS alloy wheels.

While the safety vehicles will hopefully sit on the sidelines, Mitsubishi has grander ambitions for their i-MiEV Evolution II race car which features four electric motors that develop a combined maximum output of 536 bhp (400 kW).
