Nissan has officially resurrected the Terrano nameplate by releasing a sketch of a new SUV which will be out before the end of the year.

Last Friday we heard some rumors about Nissan reviving the Terrano moniker by introducing a new SUV based on the Dacia/Renault Duster. These rumors were spot on as Nissan has released a sketch with its own version of the Duster which is expected to hit the market later this year. As the sketch shows, the general styling idea will be maintained but with Nissan's own front grille and more stylish headlights. Overall, the SUV looks more refined compared to its Romanian sibling.

The new Nissan Terrano will be manufactured at the Renault-Nissan factory in Oragadam, Chennai where they make the Renault Duster for the local market and the Dacia Duster for export markets such as United Kingdom and Ireland. Expect a price tag slightly higher compared to its two cousins.
