Peugeot has announced plans to introduce the 2014 RCZ R at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Peugeot has announced plans to introduce the 2014 RCZ R at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Previewed by the RCZ R concept, the production model will celebrate its international debut by being driven by Bradley Philpot who recently competed in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.

Detailed performance specifications were not released but the car will be powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter THP engine that develops 260 bhp (194 kW). This will enable car the to become the most powerful production model in the Peugeot's history despite having CO2 emissions of just 155 g/km.

The RCZ R will also come equipped with a sport-tuned suspension, unique alloy wheels and a Torsen limited-slip differential.
