BMW does a side-by-side comparison of all three X5 generations [video]

BMW has decided to conduct a side-by-side comparison with all three generations of the X5.

The SUV is being described as a "work of progress" from generation to generation, starting with the original E53 X5 launched in 1999, continuing with the E70 X5 presented in 2006 and ending with the recently unveiled F15 X5.

Probably the most noticeable design change of the latest gen is the unification of the kidney grille with the headlamps. From generation to generation we can see the length of the BMW X5 has slightly increased, while the split tailgate was there right from the beginning to boost practicality. BMW praises the interior of the new X5 saying is so luxurious that it leaves the impression of a 7-Series cabin.
