The 2014 BMW M3 has been spied stretching its legs on the Nürburgring.

Despite being heavily camouflaged, we can see the model will have an aggressive front bumper, revised side skirts and a four-tailpipe exhaust system. The car is also slated to feature ventilated front fenders, aerodynamic door mirrors and a trunk-mounted spoiler.

Despite looking fairly conventional, the M3 is expected to use a carbon fiber trunk, hood and roof. This could enable the model to weigh 100 kg (220 lbs) less than its predecessor.

Power will reportedly be provided by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that develops approximately 450 bhp (335 kW) and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque. This could enable the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

The M3 is expected to go on sale next summer, so look for an unveiling early next year.
