Chevrolet has released a new video of GM North America President Mark Reuss driving a 2014 Corvette Stingray Pace Car at Belle Isle.

Reuss, a lifelong racing enthusiast, drove the pace car during last weekend's Chevrolet Indy Dual in Detroit. As he explained, “To be able to drive this car, on this track, in this city, is a huge thrill for me personally."

Like the standard model, the Corvette Stingray Pace Car has a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine that produces up to 460 bhp (343 kW) and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque. It enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than four seconds and return 26+ mpg highway (US).

The 2014 Corvette Stingray will go on sale later this year and pricing starts at $51,995 for the coupe and $56,995 for the convertible.
