Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently announced plans to launch an entry-level sedan and a new report is indicating it will be joined by an entry-level crossover.

Designed to battle the BMW X1 and Audi Q3, the entry-level crossover will likely share some styling cues with the 2014 Model X. Nothing is official but Musk reportedly suggested the crossover could feature gull-wing doors among other things.

Little else is known about the model but it is expected to ride on the same architecture that underpins the company's entry-level sedan. That particular model is slated to cost less than $40,000 (€30,915) and have a range of approximately 200 miles (322 km).
