Several Lotus Evoras are being recalled for what has to be the most peculiar reasons in all recall history.

This affects only 28 units manufactured between September and November 2012 which were granted an exemption from advanced airbag requirements on the passenger side. These cars had to come with a specific label indicating they were covered by the exemption, but some of them don't have that sticker.

The reason why these cars are going to get the sticker is because without the label, owners of the 28 Evoras will have problems figuring out if their cars will be affected by a possible future recall. In other words, they're recalling these cars just to be safe in case there will be a recall in the future.
