Acura has revealed the 2014 MDX has a starting price of 42,290 USD, without taking into account the extra 895 USD destination charges.
Scheduled to hit the market in July, the revised MDX can be had with front- or all-wheel drive (SH-AWD). Needless to say, the base price refers to the FWD model and represents a 990 USD decrease compared to the 2013MY which was AWD-only. Power comes exclusively from a V6 3.5-liter engine generating 290 bhp (216 kW) and 362 Nm (267 lb-ft) of torque, linked to a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Standard goodies include an evolution of the AcuraLink, better audio system, blind spot monitoring, eight-inch multi-function display, 18-inch wheels and jewel eye LED headlights. For 46,565 USD the Technology Package brings 19-inch alloys, color TFT screen, lane departure warning, forward collision warning and rain-sensing wipers.
Entertainment Package kicks off at 48,565 USD and includes rear seat entertainment system, while the range-topping Advance packs adaptive cruise control, 12-speaker ELS sound system, bespoke wheels and remote engine start.
All versions can be had with Acura's SH-AWD for an extra 2,000 USD.
