Chevrolet has released final technical specifications for the new Corvette Stingray.

Almost six months ago Chevrolet introduced the C7 Coupe which was followed in March by the Convertible variant. Up until now, technical (and final) specs of the car were not available but GM has disclosed the important information.

Both versions are powered by a 6.2-liter V8 LT1 engine which produces 455 HP (335 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 460 lb-ft (623 Nm) of torque at 4,600 rpm in the coupe. The convertible's (still) estimated figures stand at 450 HP (331 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) at 4,600 rpm. Power is transferred to wheels via an all-new seven-speed manual gearbox with Active Rev Match.

Both of them benefit from a 50:50 weight distribution and come with an Active Handling system featuring electronic stability control. Other highlights include tire pressure monitoring system with run-flat tires, four airbags and four-channel ABS.

The coupe and convertible share the exact same dimensions: 177 inches long, 73.9 inches wide and a 106.7 inches wheelbase. Headroom stands at 38 inches, legroom at 34 inches, shoulder room at 55 inches and hip room at 54 inches.
