Lotus has released some new details about their Exige S Roadster which goes on sale this summer.
Described as a "race-bred sports car" that "possesses the poise of a sleek convertible," the Exige S Roadster has a familiar design which clearly echoes its coupe counterpart. Notable highlights include an aggressive front fascia, LED-infused headlights and 17- / 18-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires.
Motivation is provided by a mid-mounted 3.5-liter V6 engine which has been equipped with a Harrop HTV 1320 supercharger. It enables the mill to produce 350 HP (257 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. This enables the 1166 kg (2570 lb) Roadster to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 233 km/h (145 mph).
The Exige S Roadster will cost £52,900 (including VAT) in the United Kingdom, while European Union residents will have to cough up €55,378 (excluding taxes).
