The Aston Martin Vanquish Volante has been spied yet again, ahead of a possible Frankfurt debut in September.

This time our spies took photos of a prototype with the top on testing at Nürburgring. Speaking of the top, it will be a retractable fabric roof which sits between the passenger compartment and the cargo area when not in use. Aside from the roof, the Vanquish Volante will look just about the same as the coupe.

Under the hood it will borrow the V12 6.0-liter engine from the regular model, a mill which churns 573 HP (421 kW) and 457 lb-ft (620 Nm) of torque. The engine will be mated to a Touchtronic 2 transmission and should enable the Vanquish Volante to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in about 4.2 seconds.
