Mitsubishi is reportedly developing an entry-level sedan that could be launched in the United States in 2015.

Little is known about the model, but Mitsubishi dealers were reportedly shown renderings of the car during regional meetings last month. The company declined to elaborate but told Automotive News, they are "looking into introducing a small, entry-level sedan to the United States market."

Nothing is official, but the entry-level model could be a production version of the G4 concept which recently debuted at the Bangkok Motor Show. Mitsubishi confirmed plans to build a production version and offer it globally, so it seems possible that this is the mysterious sedan.

As we have previously reported, the G4 concept had a high-tensile steel body and a 1.2-liter MIVEC engine that was connected to a continuously variable transmission.
