Theophilus Chin has rendered a potential look of an estate/wagon variant of the recently introduced Maserati Ghibli.

Although seeing such a model in real life is highly improbable, Maserati could rethink its strategy and decide to launch a more practical variant of the Ghibli as there is a market for fast wagons if we look at cars such as the Audi RS6 Avant or the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG 4MATIC S-Model Wagon. A Ferrari engine under the hood, superb Maserati styling and the practicality of a wagon could turn out to be the perfect ingredients for a profitable recipe.

Maserati announced last week plans for a smaller mid-engined, two-seater sports car due most likely in 2016. In addition, they denied rumors of a LaFerrari-based supercar.
