MINI has already toyed with boating by unveiling the Cooper Yachtsman on April Fool's Day last year, but this time they're a little more serious as the company has announced their Cooper Convertible boat will take part in Philadelphia's Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta.
Originally created as part of their Not Normal campaign, the MINI boat has a traditional hull and a fiberglass mold of a Cooper Convertible. It has also been equipped with a variety of authentic parts including the headlights, taillights and grille. Interestingly, the boat is set up so the wheels and tires spin to create the illusion that the "car" is driving on water.
The boat was built by ACI Composites and is powered by a 6bhp (4 kW) outboard motor.
