Nissan has announced the 2014 GT-R Track Edition has gone on sale in the United States for $115,710.
Costly roughly $16,000 more than the GT-R Premium, the Track Edition is described as a supercar that is "even closer to a pure motorsports competition machine." It features carbon fiber air ducts, brake cooling guides and forged aluminum wheels with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT ultra high performance run-flat tires. The model is also equipped with a carbon fiber rear spoiler and a sport-tuned suspension with higher spring rates and special Bilstein DampTronic shock absorbers.
The cabin gains two-tone Recaro sport seats and a quilted cloth mat that resides where rear seats are normally located.
Motivation is provided by a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 engine that develops 545 hp (406 kW) and 463 lb-ft (627 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed dual clutch transmission that changes gears in just 0.15 seconds.
The model is currently available and production will be limited to 150 units.
