Renault has released the first teaser images of an upcoming concept that will be unveiled at the Monaco Grand Prix on May 24th.

The pictures don't reveal much, but they apparently confirm the model will be the TwinRun concept that was spotted in Madrid last month. We have only seen few glimpses of the car but it is expected to be a modern-day version of the Renault 5 Turbo. Little else is known about the model but speculation suggests it will feature a mid-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive.

The car was created as "an expression of the brand’s passion" and  illustrates "how different takes on the same city car are possible."  It will eventually be shown at the Goodwood Festival of Speed where it will take part in a dynamic demonstration.
