The 2014 BMW M5 has been spied undergoing testing in Europe.
Modestly disguised, the facelifted model will receive several mid-cycle improvements including modified bumpers and restyled lighting units. These changes are relatively minor but closely echo the updates for the standard 5-Series.
Our spies weren't able to snap interior photos, but we can expect small changes including revised trim and an updated iDrive system.
The car's twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine is expected to carryover and continue to produce 560 HP (412 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. However, previous reports have indicated the model will be offered with an optional Competition Package that will boost the output to approximately 575 HP (423 kW). The package is also expected to feature a sportier suspension, a revised M Dynamic Mode and exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels.
