Saleen unveiled a 351 Mustang prototype last weekend at Fabulous Fords at Knott's Berry Farm in California, following an announcement made late 2012.

Wearing a specially-made Orange County Orange hue, the Saleen 351 Mustang prototype is powered by a 351 cubic inch (5751cc) V8 engine outputting 700 bhp (522 kW) and a peak torque of 655 lb-ft (887 Nm). Power is put to the ground through a 6-speed gearbox featuring a 3.73:1 final drive ratio and a performance clutch system.

The car sits on 20-inch alloy wheels with high-performance tires, while the stopping power is provided by 15-inch brake discs. It has received a functional butterfly hood scoop, along with carbon fiber front/rear splitters and rear diffuser.
