BMW has released several new pictures of the X4 concept that will debut at the Shanghai Motor Show.
Designed to preview the upcoming production model that will be built in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the concept follows in the footsteps of the X6 and adopts a dynamic design that combines the "rugged looks of a BMW X model with the emotional aura and sporting character of a BMW Coupe."
Dressed in Long Beach Blue, the crossover has an aggressive front fascia with a prominent kidney grille, large air intakes and LED headlights. Moving further back, we can see a sculpted hood, curved character lines and plastic body cladding. There's also a dual exhaust system and a distinctive rear bumper with integrated underbody protection.
BMW declined to release performance specifications, but the production model is expected to offer a TwinPower Turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 240 bhp (179 kW) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque as well as a TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter inline-six with 300 bhp (224 kW) and 300 lb-ft (406 Nm) of torque.
