The A8 has been on the market for a few years, so Audi is preparing a minor facelift for their flagship sedan.

Caught heavily disguised, the prototype appears to feature a revised grille, modified bumpers and restyled lighting units. We can also see new exhaust finishers which are neatly integrated into the rear bumper.

Our spies weren't able to snap interior photos, but the cabin is expected to receive an updated infotainment system and, possibly, a redesigned instrument cluster.

Engine options will likely carryover so expect choices to include a 3.0-liter V6 TDI, a 3.0-liter V6 TFSI, a 4.0-liter V8 TFSI and a 4.2-liter V8 TDI. We can expect a hybridized 2.0-liter TFSI, a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 TFSI and a 6.3-liter W12 FSI with 500 HP (368 kW).

The facelifted Audi A8 is expected to debut next year as a 2015 model.
