The updated Camaro SS made its debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show and now Chevrolet explains some of the changes found on the facelifted model. Chevy's objective was to make V6 and V8 models look different which is why the SS has borrowed a few styling cues from the ZL1, like the lower opening grille and functional hood extractor.

The most significant modifications are related to the head/taillights while the version fitted with the RS package benefits from a functional fog lamp. This package also uses LED taillights as opposed to the lower-end models which have incandescent lights. Customers can now optionally order the Recaro sport seats which are available not only for the SS but also for the ZL1 variant as well.
