With a new top speed of 202 mph (326 km/h) the GT Speed accelerates .3s faster than the standard GT from zero to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.5s).

Bentley has revealed this morning a minor facelift for the Continental GT. Although, the Conti GT receives the typical front bumper fascia and grille touch-ups, however, Bentley has taken a slight step forward by upgrading the 6.0 liter W12 engine. Although horsepower and torque remain unchanged the W12 receives a host of new components intended to reduce friction and therefore decrease fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. These upgrades include a new crankcase design, improved emissions system, lighter chain drive for camshaft, faster cam sensor and remapped engine management control unit. As a result, CO2 emissions drop by 3.5 percent to 396 g/km as well as a similar drop in fuel consumption. Also, upgraded shock absorbers, latest ESP version 8.1 with new “Sport Traction” mode and revised Servotronic power steering for increased road feedback are also included in the revised model.

The exterior receives a widened and lowered front bumper fascia air intake and more upright grille which is tinted darker. Also, slightly wider new 9.5J - 20 inch wheels, larger sport tailpipes and chromed headlamp bezels round out the package.

However, Bentley has another surprise up their sleeve - introducing the Continental GT Speed. Inspired by the legendary “Speed” models that first appeared in 1923, the Conti GT Speed receives 9% more power and 15% more torque from 552 bhp to 600bhp (610PS/449kW) and 479 ft/lbs to 553ft/lbs (750Nm). With a new top speed of 202 mph (326 km/h) the GT Speed accelerates .3s faster than the standard GT from zero to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.5s). This increase in performance is due to lighter weight connecting rods, new pistons with anodized ring slots and a remapped engine management control unit.

The Continental GT Speed is the first production Bentley to break 200mph. Both vehicles are available for order this month.
