Tesla Motors has released a video presentation of the 17-inch touchscreen display inside the Model S.

Perhaps one of the most interesting high-tech gizmos of the Model S is its huge tactile screen which has replaced the regular buttons and knobs. According to Tesla, some of the most significant advantages have to do with the top and lower parts of the screen which always remain the same, along with the fact that most commonly used buttons will be in the same place.

From this display the driver has full control of the car, such as the amount of regenerative braking, lights and ride height. Tesla Model S owners have said the user interface is quick and looks a lot like what you see on an iPad.

There are only two buttons inside the cabin, one for opening the glove compartment and the other for the four-way emergency flashers.
