As of today, Chevrolet is selling a limited number of NHRA-certified Camaro rolling chassis developed for drag racing.

Priced at 55,000 USD, these will be assembled by hand at the same location where they make the COPO Camaro. All completed rolling chassis will be serialized but won't have a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) which means these can't be titled or licensed for road use.

The chassis comes fitted with a roll cage approved by NHRA and other safety equipment, as well as a NHRA-approved racing chassis and suspension parts, including solid rear axle and brakes. Also part of the package are Bogart racing wheels with Hoosier tires.

All will feature Summit White paint with an SS grille, a production Camaro bonnet, headlamps, taillights, window glass, racing seats, steering wheel, instrument panel, door panels, racing switch panel, black carpeting and headliner. In addition, basic body and chassis wiring is incorporated into the rolling chassis, but battery and engine harnesses are not included.

Full details are disclosed in the attached press release.
