Two allegedly official photos with the 2014 Range Rover Sport have surfaced the web, before the New York Auto Show debut.

These images match the previous shots with the car and pretty much confirm the new Range Rover Sport will basically be an Evoque on steroids. Compared to the regular Range Rover, the Sport variant has more aggressive front and rear ends, a lower roofline and a different profile.

Engines most likely will be taken from its bigger brother so expect a LR-TDV6 3.0-liter diesel with 255 bhp (190 kW), a LR-SDV8 4.4-liter outputting 335 hp (250 kW), a supercharged V6 3.0-liter producing 340 hp (253 kW) and a supercharged LR-V8 5.0-liter pumping 510 hp (380 kW).
