Audi will be adding 12 more shifts at its factory in Neckarsulm, Germany to meet increasing demand for A6 and A7 models.

All shifts will be added in the first quarter of the year and already Audi produced an extra 2,600 units than originally planned in this quarter. However, Audi did say in an official statement economic conditions have remained "difficult" so far this year but the luxury car market is more flexible compared to the shrinking overall market on the old continent.

By launching the new A3 and enlarging its SUV lineup, Audi hopes to boost deliveries and revenue this year. By 2015 they will invest 11 billion EUR (14.2 billion USD) for increasing production and launching more models.
