Chrysler will be showcasing at New York Auto Show next week a special edition of the 200 model which is priced from 28,870 USD (without destination charges).

It's based on the S package and comes with a Pentastar V6 3.6-liter engine producing 283 HP (208 kW). The car rides on semi-gloss 18-inch alloys and features premium leather seats, perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel and Boston Acoustic audio system.

What sets this model apart from the regular Chrysler 200 are the glossy black mesh grille featuring a platinum grille collar, body-color cladding, platinum chrome "spears" sitting above the fog lights, a platinum black lower front fascia, along with a deck lid spoiler and platinum chrome belt molding. There's also a new diffuser with widened exhaust tips and a sport suspension.

The cabin has received the Carhartt treatment and features triple diesel gray stitching accents on the steering wheel, seats, center console and armrests. The steering wheel buttons, together with the front cup holders, air vents and gearshift have received a black finish.

Production will kick off in the second quarter at Chrysler's Sterling Heights, Michigan plant and all cars will be tweaked at the firm's upfit center in Warren, Michigan.
