SRT has launched a limited "Time Attack" edition of the 2014 Viper which will be presented at the end of the month in New York.

Available starting in the third quarter of the year, the Viper TA will be limited to only 33 units and all of them will wear a "Crusher Orange" exterior paint. It costs 120,500 USD which makes it more expensive than the standard Viper (102,500 USD) but cheaper than the Viper GTS (125,000 USD).

Power comes from the same V10 8.4-liter engine with 640 hp (477 kW) and 814 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque, but what sets this variant apart is the custom-tuned suspension with a two-mode Bilstein Damptronic system developed for on-track usage. While the standard model has aluminum structural X-brace, the TA version benefits from a lighter carbon fiber brace.

It has also received a bigger Brembo brake kit and rides on multi-spoke, lightweight Sidewinder II alloys shod in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. The new aero package brings front splitters, rear spoiler and a rear applique. Instead of logos, the Viper Time Attack has stickers which they say has removed some weight. Speaking of weight, SRT mentions the car tips the scales at 3,348 lbs (1,518 kg). As a reminder, the base Viper weighs 3,354 lbs (1,521 kg) while the GTS variant stands at 3,374 lbs (1,530 kg).

The interior has remained the same with the exception of the new bespoke Crusher Orange stitching on the seats, center stack, instrument panel, pull brake, console, shifter head and boot, doors and steering wheel.
