A Ford representative believes two RS models on sale at the same time is highly unlikely to happen.

Chances of seeing another RS model on sale together with the upcoming 2015 Focus RS are quite slim according to the company's president of marketing in Europe, Roelant de Waard. Although he said "there is always room for RS products" he added he would be "surprised if there was more than one at the same time."

As far as the next-gen Focus RS is concerned, the latest report indicates it will be powered by a 2.3-liter, 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine rated at 335 HP (246 kW). Although Ford was considering an AWD system, the new Focus RS will stick to the FWD layout. Set to hit the market in 2015, the new Focus RS is estimated to have a starting price of 40,000 EUR.
