The latest report indicates the Ford Focus RS will be out in 2015 with a turbocharged 4-cylinder, 2.3-liter engine producing 335 HP (246 kW).

Featuring a turbocharger and direct injection, the EcoBoost engine will be sending the entire horsepower load to the front wheels, even though at one point the Blue Oval company was considering an all-wheel drive setup.

This engine will probably find its way under the hood of the new Mustang (both Euro- and U.S.-spec models). Most likely, there will be some output differences between the Focus RS and Mustang. The latter will also receive a more powerful V8 engine for both regions.

According to AutoBild.de, the next-gen Focus RS will carry a price tag of approximately 40,000 EUR in Europe.
