Porsche will be expanding its sales network by 33 percent in the next five years by opening 250 new dealerships.

The rationale behind this decision is to keep up with the firm's planned lineup expansion which is partially linked to a higher demand of upscale models in United States and China. In the present they have 750 dealerships worldwide but by 2018 this number will grow to 1,000 outlets which will cost them about 260M USD (200M EUR).

Towards the end of the year Porsche will start selling the 918 Spyder which is the firm's most expensive car ever. It will be followed in early 2014 by the Macan (a smaller Cayenne), as well as a smaller Panamera and a Ferrari 458 Italia rival estimated to cost 250,000 USD.
