These are the most recent spy photos with the 2013 Porsche 911 Targa scheduled to arrive sometime this year.

Our agile spies spotted this 911 Targa prototype cold weather testing in Northern Scandinavia. The car seen here features a hidden retractable center roof section boasting a roll bar and a fake rear side window to throw off amateur eyes.

We are not expecting any surprises in terms of engine lineup as Porsche will take it from the standard 911. As a result, a 3.4-liter with 345 hp (257 kW) and 390 Nm (288 lb-ft) plus a 3.8-liter with 394 hp (294 kW) and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) are expected to power the new 911 Targa version. These engines will be linked to a seven-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed PDK.

Chances are we will get to see the car in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
