The world premiere of the 2014 Audi RS6 Avant has occurred yesterday at the dawn of the Geneva Motor Show.

Set to go on sale this summer, the new RS6 Avant is powered by a twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter engine generating 560 HP (412 kW) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. The power unit is linked to an 8-speed tiptronic gearbox and the proprietary quattro AWD system with a torque vectoring differential.

As a result of this setup, the hot wagon will need just 3.9 seconds until the speedometer reads 62 mph (100 km/h), on its way to a top speed of 190 mph (305 km/h) when fitted with the optional Dynamic Plus package.

Riding on 20-inch alloys, the RS6 Avant has a dual exhaust system, glossy black rear diffuser and a tailgate-mounted spoiler. Despite the impressive performance, the car will return 24 mpg US (28.2 mpg UK or 9.8 liters / 100 km) which makes it about 40 percent more fuel-efficient than the model it replaces.
