As it turns out, the production version of the S-Cross is in fact the new generation SX4 which arrived today in Geneva.

Looking more evolved than its predecessor, the SX4 has LED DRLs built into the headlights, muscular shoulders and two-part rear combo lamps. We also notice the implementation of a sloping roofline and an elegant modulated line running from the front to back. It will be available in ten different colors, including this Crystal Lime Metallic hue.

Under the bonnet it can get a 1.6-liter gasoline engine fitted to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 1.6-liter diesel linked to a 6-speed manual transmission. There's also a CVT with a seven-speed manual mode featuring steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for the gasoline engine.

Compared to its predecessor, the new SX4 has grown in size as it now stands at 4300mm long, 1765mm wide and 1575mm tall, whereas the old model is 4135mm long, 1755mm wide and 1565mm tall. It has a 2600mm wheelbase (up by 100mm) and can be fitted with 16- or 17-inch wheels with 205/60 R16 or 205/50 R17 tires, respectively.

Suzuki says the 2013 SX4 has a 430-liter luggage capacity and an optional panoramic sunroof with one of the largest opening areas in its class with double-sliding glass panels. CO2 emissions vary depending on engine, gearbox and traction choice from 110 g/km (manual, diesel, 2WD) to 136 g/km (CVT, gasoline, 4WD).
