Honda has launched in Geneva today the CR-V equipped with the new 1.6-liter i-DTEC Earth Dreams Technology diesel engine.
The power unit is available exclusively for the two-wheel drive version fitted with a manual gearbox. The engine is the lightest diesel in its class, generating 120 HP (88 kW) at 4,000 rpm and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque at 2,000 rpm with CO2 emissions as low as 119 g/km.
The rest of the car is identical to the standard 2013 CR-V, offering 1648 liters of cargo room and easy fold-down 60/40 split rear seats. As standard, it comes with Idle Stop technology and an ECON mode for lowering fuel consumption. Also available is Eco Assist which advises drivers on how their driving style influences fuel economy.
