The first official photo with the 2013 Hyundai ix35 facelift has surfaced the Internet.
The first official photo with the 2013 Hyundai ix35 refresh has been released with a range of technological and efficiency enhancements.
Set for a public unveiling next week in Geneva, the ix35 mid-size SUV fails to be called a facelift since no major exterior styling changes have been made with the exception of new Bi-Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights and a slightly redesigned upper grille. Inside, the cabin has received some material upgrades and additional detail enhancements to the trim.
The engine lineup has also receive some tweaks starting with the Nu 2.0-liter GDI which offers more power yet increased fuel economy than the Theta-II 2.0-liter engine it replaces. The R diesel engine receives clean technology such as LP-EGR (low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation).
Lastly, the new ix35 receives Hyundai’s three-mode FLEX STEER driving system where Normal, Comfort and Sport modes can be selected.
