Jeep has announced plans of bringing the Euro-spec 2014 Compass to next week's Geneva Motor Show.
Looking virtually identical to its American sibling, the European version of the 2014 Jeep Compass will go on sale in the second quarter of the year. It will be sold in three trim levels: Sport, Limited and the new North variant.
The vehicle will boast a new 6-speed PowerTech automatic transmission, ParkView rear backup camera and side air bags mounted in the front seats. Standard amenities include fog lamps, keyless entry, power and heated exterior mirrors, along with air conditioning. The Euro-spec Compass also features a 60/40 fold-flat rear seat, hill-start assist, anti-lock disc brakes, cruise control and electronic roll mitigation.
No word about engine lineup, but most likely will include a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder with 158 hp (118 kW) and 191 Nm (141 lb-ft) and a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder with 172 hp (128 kW) and 223 Nm (165 lb-ft). Two diesel 2.2-liter CRD engines are also expected, one with 136 hp (101 kW) and the other with 163 hp (121 kW).
